Sound Therapy:
Everything You Need to Know
01 — What is Sound Therapy?
Sound therapy is a meditative practice focused on quieting the brain through the use of sound. Also known as sound bathing, the technique uses a combination of ancient practices to enhance feelings of calm and awareness. It is increasingly used in spas and wellness centers all around the world, and it is believed to create a state of harmony and balance within the body through the use of sound and vibrations.
02 — What Can it Help With?
Sound therapy can help relieve feelings of anxiety, stress, pent-up emotions, burnout, grief, sadness, and many other negative emotions. With a sound bath, it can become easier to relax and let these common feelings go. If you feel stuck, run-down, like you can no longer rely on your own body, or would just like to do some self-care, undergoing a sound bath is a wonderful option that can help you along on your spiritual journey or simply create lasting benefits in your daily life.
03 — What Instruments Are Used?
Calliope Sound Therapy uses a wide variety of instruments, including a gong, drums, Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, a sansula, and a monsoon stick. Thanks to the pianist background of Calliope Sound Therapy’s founder, Andrea Adamcova, the studio of Calliope Sound Therapy also boasts a grand piano.
04 — How Can I Book a Session?
Simply go to the “Book a Session” scheduler on our website, and you can set up an appointment immediately with our easy-to-use, highly-flexible calendar.
